Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Shropshire Council, Children\’s Adoption Team – Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children\’s Social Work team.

The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.

The responsibilities will include:

1. Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters, family finding and matching with children in need of adoption
2. Matching of children and adoption placement support
3. Liaising with other professionals
4. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
5. 3 month Temporary Contract
6. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
