Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, North Somerset Council, Adult Single point of Access Team – Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
- Provides timely advice, information and triage of referrals received to adult care and community health services, in addition to community based care management clinics.
- Single Point of Access is recognised as critical in the delivery of effective, time-sensitive services to the residents of North Somerset.
- Ability to meet timescales and deadlines, maintain responsibility for their own workload, effectively risk assess and make timely decisions for complex situations.
- Currently being undertaken remotely, daily contact with Senior staff and wider team members is embedded to provide guidance and support.
- Liaise with other professionals.
- 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
- 2 Month Temporary Contract.
- Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
