Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning services for strategic infrastructure and renewable energy projects, ensuring effective management of project programmes and budgets.
- Drive business growth in Scotland by proactively securing new opportunities and expanding our client base.
- Oversee work enquiries, prepare competitive bids, and develop strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Provide strategic direction and expert guidance on complex planning and regulatory matters.
- Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring projects meet client expectations, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and support Senior and Junior Planners while building and strengthening the team as the business grows.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning and energy policies and best practices in Scotland and the UK.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a Senior Town Planning role with a strong background in onshore or offshore wind energy.
- A track record of successfully managing various planning applications in the wind sectors.
- Excellent knowledge of Scotland’s and the UK’s planning legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong business development skills to help grow the business in Scotland.
- Chartered Member of the RTPI.
- A full UK driving license.
