Position Overview: Your role is to develop automated test suites and maintain the automated test infrastructure to enable our software engineering teams to develop and deliver high-quality products as effectively and efficiently as possible. Your work will primarily involve supporting the software engineering teams during new feature development as well as performing system-wide validation testing during final product release cycles. As part of a dynamic and highly capable software test engineering team, operating within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) you will find yourself involved in daily team standups, iteration reviews and Program Increment (PI) planning activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, communicating task status, i.e., current progress, impediments, blockers, risks and any other assistance that may be required.
  • Always communicate openly with team members.
  • Develop automated system test cases to support new feature verification.
  • Plan and execute automated and manual release validation test activities.
  • Create and maintain platforms and environments for release validation testing and system demos.
  • Investigate test failures and create comprehensive bug reports.
  • Perform test code and technical documentation reviews.
  • Willingness to assist with urgent issues where necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, i.e., Software Development, Software Test Engineering.
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar.

Experience:

  • Expect to participate in open discussions, to challenge and be challenged with arguments based on reason, and to compromise occasionally in order to achieve team consensus. Trust, honesty and respect for others is essential.
  • Enthusiasm for software quality and a positive outlook towards quality improvements are expected, as are skills in at least three of the following tools and technologies:
  • Highly experienced in C# programming.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems.
  • Good working knowledge with task management, issue tracking tools and repositories (Git/Jira/Confluence/Artifactory).
  • Working knowledge of Web UI test automation (we use PlayWright).
