The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Supply Planner to join a dynamic Supply Chain team within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role acts as the critical interface between customers and the manufacturing site, translating client demand into executable production and material plans that ensure products are delivered on time and in full.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS), coordinating cross-functional alignment and proactively resolving supply or capacity constraints to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary supply chain contact for assigned customers, ensuring strong service delivery and relationship management.
- Receive, interpret and validate customer forecasts and process client orders accordingly.
- Coordinate communication relating to demand changes, customer-supplied materials, artwork updates and product lifecycle changes.
- Develop and maintain an 18-month Master Production Schedule (MPS) balancing demand, manufacturing capacity and operational constraints.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment and agreement on production plans across Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement teams.
- Identify and escalate capacity constraints impacting delivery performance.
- Initiate and manage change controls relating to packaging components and material updates.
- Maintain product master data including part creation and Bill of Materials (BOM) updates.
- Ensure Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters remain accurate and aligned with demand and supply plans.
- Schedule raw materials, packaging components and excipients to support manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate supplier delivery performance to support On Time In Full (OTIF) manufacturing execution.
- Optimise inventory utilisation to support Just-In-Time supply while minimising obsolescence risk.
- Conduct supply planning scenario analysis (“what-if” modelling) to optimise production outcomes.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects including product extensions and packaging variations.
Performance Measures
Success in the role will be measured through:
- On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery performance.
- Forecast accuracy and SIOP alignment.
- Inventory and working capital performance.
- Production readiness.
- Vendor delivery performance.
- Compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Contribution to business continuity and operational planning.
