Supply Quality Officer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
📍 Wrexham | 💷 £30,000 – £35,000 | 🕒 Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Quality Officer to join a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisation that has a strong presence in the UK and internationally. This company is a recognised leader in the development and manufacture of sterile injectable medicines, supplying both the NHS and global markets from its MHRA-approved facility in Wrexham.
You will be joining a business committed to innovation, patient safety, and world-class manufacturing standards, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, life-saving medicines.
The Role
As a Supply Quality Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the company’s third-party suppliers consistently meet GMP compliance and deliver materials to the highest regulatory standards. This role offers a balance of technical review, supplier interaction, and cross-functional collaboration on-site, giving you broad exposure across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and interrogating supplier documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP and associated quality standards.
- Assessing technical data, deviation reports, change notifications and change controls from third-party suppliers.
- Supporting batch certification by approving master documentation for Qualified Person (QP) release.
- Conducting supplier qualification, audits, and routine evaluations to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Quality Control, Engineering, Warehousing, and Development Labs to enhance supplier quality and overall operational performance.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related discipline.
- Solid understanding of EU GMP guidelines and experience in internal and/or external auditing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Skilled in root cause analysis, investigations, and problem-solving within a regulated environment.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
