Are you an experienced EHS professional looking to take ownership of Environmental, Health & Safety within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment? We’re working with an established pharmaceutical Manufacturer to recruit an EHS Lead for its manufacturing site in Livingston. This is a highly visible role where you’ll take responsibility for coordinating the site’s EHS and sustainability programme, supporting regulatory compliance and driving continuous improvement across the facility. The Role You’ll act as a key EHS specialist on site, working closely with operational and leadership teams to: Own and support site EHS & Sustainability programmes Conduct and improve risk assessments and drive effective CAPAs Maintain EHS management systems, policies and procedures Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation Manage and develop COSHH processes and chemical assessments Support waste management and environmental sustainability initiatives Provide EHS advice, guidance and training to operational teams Maintain regulatory/legal registers and stay ahead of changing requirements Support emergency response planning Build effective relationships with relevant regulators Lead and support site and group-level EHS projects What We’re Looking For Ideally, you’ll bring: ~2+ years’ experience within safety, environmental or engineering-related positions ~ Knowledge of chemical, pharmaceutical and/or environmental processes ~ A degree in Environmental, Safety, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Biology, Toxicology or a related discipline — or significant equivalent EHS experience ~ Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills ~ The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive improvements ~ Professional EHS certification such as IOSH, CSP, CIH, CHMM or CHCM would be advantageous Why Consider This Opportunity?
