Our Yorkshire based pharmaceutical client develops and manufactures a range of products, and they are actively looking for a Principal Analytical Development Chemist. This is a busy role where the successful candidate will be both designing, developing, validating analytical methods and leading a team of dedicated R&D Analytical Chemists.

Duties for this role will include:

  • Understanding new pharmaceutical formulations and developing novel methods using analytical techniques including HPLC
  • Developing appropriate stability tests for regulatory purposes using HPLC and other instrumentation
  • Maintenance / troubleshooting of instrumentation
  • Validating a range of analytical methods and reports
  • Ensuring all activities are performed to quality and H&S standards including GMP
  • Advising other R&D Analytical Chemists and supporting the transfer of robust analytical methods for others to use
  • Supporting R&D Formulation team with ongoing projects
