Lead Technical Operator

LEAD TECHNICAL OPERATOR PERMANENT LIVINGSTON    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Technical Operator to join our well-established medical device company located in Livingston.  The position will be appointed on a permanent basis and may require weekend working and shift work.    The company has recently experienced a period of growth and requires a talented individual to contribute to the continued success of the business.    Key Duties: Set up, change over and run the aseptic filling machines in a Grade B cleanroom environment Identify and fix routine machine faults as required Sterilisation of machine parts by autoclaving Monitor critical process parameters and act on any deviations within the manufacturing suite, capturing and reporting any anomalies to Quality Assurance and the Area Supervisor Perform in process checks and visual inspection, recording data throughout manufacturing process to ensure the product is within specification Completion of all batch paperwork relevant to manufacturing process following GDP Ensure all downtime is kept to a minimum, drive continuous improvement and efficient machine performance Demonstrate a positive attitude to all required tasks and act as a role model for others within the team Adhere to Company Safety, Hygiene, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures at all times Deputise for the Area Supervisor in times of absence Ensure operations are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.  Skills and Experience: Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing business Technical mindset An understanding of aseptic processing techniques and cleanroom experience within a medical device or closely related environment. The ability to think logically and solve problems Strong written and verbal communication skills Effective time management skills with the ability to work to own initiative IT skills efficient in the use of MS Excel and Word  Desirable: Experience of working within a cGMP environment HNC or HND in a technical discipline.
