We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, resourceful and proactive Business Development Executive to support the activity of the Business Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a science-based graduate, postgraduate or early-career professional who is looking to move into a commercial role within the pharmaceutical industry. Full training will be provided, making this a strong opportunity for someone with scientific confidence, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in human health, drug development and pharmaceutical innovation.
The role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Business Development team with client identification and relationship-building activity
- Help identify prospective pharmaceutical, biotech and investment partners
- Engage with potential clients to understand development challenges and explore suitable solutions
- Support outreach activity linked to new business opportunities
- Assist with marketing, communications and business development campaigns
- Support preparation for international conferences, meetings and industry events
- Contribute to commercial research and market-mapping activity
- Work closely with senior colleagues across the UK and wider business
- Learn and communicate complex pharmaceutical technology in a clear, professional and commercially relevant way
This role would suit a motivated graduate, postgraduate or early-career professional who is keen to develop within pharmaceutical business development. You do not need to bring specific business development experience, but you should be confident, curious and eager to learn. The successful candidate will ideally bring:
- A degree or background in life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biology or a related scientific discipline
- Strong written English and excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in human health, medicines and pharmaceutical innovation
- Confidence in learning new technical concepts and translating them into commercial value
