Permanent position
Our client develops and manufactures a range of rubber / woven material based products. They are actively looking to recruit a Technical Manager.
Duties for this position will include:
- Leading product development, process improvement, and technical activities within design, development and manufacturing teams
- Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Initiating and leading development and improvement projects
- Coordinating production support team, balancing short, medium and long term projects
- Delivering installation training and technical guidance to teams and customers alike
- Making key technical decisions at key milestones
- Maintaining quality at the forefront of all activities
- Understanding supply chain and suggesting alternative materials if needed
- Post‑sales technical support
- Using SolidWorks to support products and equipment upgrades
- Conducting product testing and developing new test equipment where required
- Applying technical knowledge to CAPEX projects
Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc / PhD in Materials Science (or related subject) together with previous suitable technical leadership experience supporting design to manufacture of rubber / woven material based products.
Note: Candidates will need their own transport for site commute.
This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience).
