A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Customer Supply Planner to join its Supply Chain team. This role sits at the critical interface between customers and manufacturing, ensuring that customer demand is translated into an executable production plan that delivers products On Time In Full (OTIF).
The Role
As Customer Supply Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production plans that ensure customer demand is fulfilled while balancing manufacturing capacity and supply chain constraints. You will work closely with production, procurement, quality teams, and external vendors to ensure materials and production schedules align with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary planning contact for customer demand and finished goods delivery
- Translate customer forecasts and orders into a Master Production Schedule (MPS)
- Maintain and optimise an 18-month production plan balancing demand and capacity
- Manage Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of manufacturing materials
- Monitor inventory levels to support Just-In-Time supply and minimise obsolescence
- Identify and resolve production capacity constraints across manufacturing work centres
- Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and product line extensions
- Contribute to supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement projects
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply planning, production planning, or materials planning
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of MRP and ERP systems
- Excellent planning, analytical, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset
