Position Overview
Entrust is seeking a commercially minded and dynamic Corporate Attorney with a passion for technologyâdriven innovation to join our fastâgrowing and customerâfocused global legal team. Your role will involve supporting our product, engineering, expansion, and compliance teams in our identity segment to help ensure we scale our identity verification and AIâenabled offerings globally in a compliant and thoughtful way. You will navigate the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape impacting Entrust\âs cuttingâedge products and services, including AIâpowered solutions within our Onfido brand. This will also include supporting our broader goâtoâmarket strategies and driving compliance across global regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities
Provide pragmatic, solutionâoriented legal advice to product and engineering teams focusing on our IDV, biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services along with the rest of Entrust\âs product portfolio.
Advise on product launches and iterations from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with privacy, AML/KYC, eID, consumer protection, and platform liability laws.
Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product and engineering teams.
Review and negotiate productârelated agreements, including data sharing terms, commercial integrations, and government contracting components.
Provide legal support for new market and product entrances across the globe (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) by mapping and tracking jurisdictionâspecific requirements.
Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with internal teams on legal strategy, documentation, and timeline feasibility.
Partner with privacy, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues on crossâfunctional initiatives involving AI, biometrics, and regulatory frameworks.
Contribute to the development of internal policies, governance tools, and scalable legal frameworks.
Support strategic partner relationships and ensure legal readiness across highâimpact goâtoâmarket efforts.
Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas and identify proactive solutions that will mitigate risks in a practical business manner.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Educational Background: LLB (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; an LLM is a plus. Must be authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
Work Authorization: Must have unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
Experience: At least 5 years postâqualification experience, including at least 3 years in an inâhouse corporate environment.
Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch, or German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills: demonstrated ability to understand complex legal concepts; think strategically and create trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
