We’re looking for an Associate User Researcher to join our team at Entrust. In this role, you’ll:

  • Work within an agile product development team as well as supporting initiatives in marketing and sales;
  • Conduct a range of user research types from early-stage discovery to UX/usability;
  • Participate in all aspects of user research including developing briefs and screeners, facilitating research and synthesizing and sharing results;
  • Surface insights that shape the direction of the company.

As an Associate UX Researcher, we understand you may be early in your career, so we’ll provide learning opportunities, mentorship and support as you develop. You’ll start by supporting smaller, well-scoped pieces of work and as you build confidence, you’ll take on more responsibility and greater challenges.

What you’ll do at Entrust:

  • Data processing and analysis on a range of passive data streams;
  • Design, organize and conduct primary research using a variety of methods;
  • Shadow more experienced researchers on ongoing and new projects and take on progressively more responsibility for different parts of the research process over time;
  • Own project operations to support project success: recruitment, note-taking, data analysis and management, insight generation and insight communication across a diverse portfolio of projects;
  • Develop a rigorous approach to data collection, synthesis, and storytelling through our research repository tool;
  • Be a reliable and credible voice of users, providing guidance and influencing decisions that impact Entrust’s direction as a company;
  • Contribute to the high quality of our work through attention to detail, asking the right questions, identifying opportunities for and setting up process efficiencies, and problem-solving;
  • Work closely with project managers, designers, developers and our senior user researchers to turn user research findings into stories and actions that lead to valuable product and service features;
  • Be a key contributor in growing the maturity of our User Research practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You have 0-3 years of experience in user research or have led qualitative research within your own field.
  • Have a basic understanding and some experience with user-centred design, user research, and product delivery practices.
  • Organised, resourceful, with a keen eye for detail and a real desire to learn and hone your craft.
  • Positive energy, enthusiasm and an eye for innovation - we are looking for self-motivated, intellectually curious people who are excited about solving big problems;
  • Keen to grow and take on a progressively greater degree of responsibility and autonomy in designing and delivering timely user research for product teams;
  • Passionate about unpacking messy problems and advocating for customer and user needs with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong communicator who can distil complex concepts and ideas into clear, actionable messages.
