Position: Deputy Chief Technology Officer
Job Location: Ahmedabad
Qualification and Experience: MCA/BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology with minimum 12 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to the candidate having at least 05 years of experience in the implementation of technological advances.
Skills, Roles and Responsibility:
- To provide administrative and professional leadership and direction for assigned operations and activities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary technology teams, including developers, system administrators, and external vendors, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- To set up appropriate technological infrastructure and ensure effective IT automation at the Institute.
- To ensure compliance with Central, State, and local policies.
- To lead the team of tech professionals and coordinate with other departments for effective implementation of projects with IT solutions.
- To manage and update the Institute’s ERP System (at present Institute is using Odoo which is based on Python platform).
- Should have knowledge and expertise in cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, GCP, private cloud etc.
- Should have the ability to understand the current setup and leverage newer technologies.
- Expertise in Financial Dashboards and Business Intelligence tools will be added an advantage.
- Should be able to navigate and migrate to newer technologies for Institute’s benefits and cost advantages.
- Ensure effective IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity practices, including disaster recovery planning and business continuity.
- Possess knowledge of AI and emerging data analytics tools to support technology modernization initiatives, intelligent automation, and data-driven institutional decision-making.
Job description:
- Fine-tuning Technology Standards, Processes and Governance for timely delivery of IT solutions and ensuring minimum downtime of IT applications.
- Providing in-depth technical expertise to the Top Management of the Institute.
- Driving a team of core vendors and manage the process of empanelment for critical project decisions related to enhancements, operations, security, and domain design.
- Handling the Core IT infrastructure, technology planning & application development and IT-related operations of the Institute.
- Ensuring implementation, maintenance, upgradation and operations of the networking infrastructure of the Institute.
- Mentoring and guidance to incubatee and start-ups.
- Mentoring students and participants through IT and ITeS tools while opportunity sensing, creating and launching their tech-based ventures.
- Further, help emerging entrepreneurs in the identification of new business ideas in the IT and ITeS Sectors.
- Building a system to collect and harmonise the Research and Project related Data which further may be converted as a Data Centre for the Institute.
- Integrating the regional/branch offices and managing their IT systems.
Terms of engagement:
Contractual engagement initially for two years which may be extended further or regularised at the appropriate level (7th CPC) based on performance and requirements.
Location: Ahmedabad
Remuneration: Emoluments commensurate with qualification and experience.
