We are hiring our first Creator in Residence in London to tell the stories of our founders, alumni and investors. You will join a small crew of creators and marketing operators with one job: make stories people actually want to watch. We are sitting on a ton of them: founders flying to San Francisco and putting life on hold to tackle hard problems, portfolio companies scaling fast (Cleo, Aztec, Genomines), and investors who have actually built the future (John Collison, Reid Hoffman, Demis Hassabis). Your job is to find creative ways to capture what is happening inside EF in the US and turn it into high quality content, mostly video. We will equip you with Sony Cinema Line FX2 cameras and a full creator setup so you can focus on the craft. If you’re winning, the next Patrick Collison or Mark Zuckerberg will have stumbled into your content.
Requirements
- Creative. You understand internet culture, but you are excited to experiment with new storytelling formats.
- Genuinely curious about founders. You get their mindset, respect the craft of building and want to spend time in their world.
- Agentic. You don’t wait for instructions. You see what needs doing and do it.
- Obsessed with quality. You sweat the details in framing, sound, pacing and editing because you care about the final output.
- Collaborative. You can work with many stakeholders (TIs, founders, leadership…) without dropping balls or losing patience.
- Fluent in English.
- You can shoot and edit video content on your own. The exact tools do not matter as long as you can learn fast.
- Fast learner. We don’t need 5 years of experience in content. We need agency, taste, and a steep learning curve.
This Role Is Not For You If
- You want a structured 9-to-5 with clear guardrails and someone telling you what “done” looks like. EF moves fast.
- You want a slow ramp and a long runway before owning things. We’ll support you, but you’ll need to jump in headfirst and take responsibility early.
Benefits
- Opportunity to convert this initial 3-month trial into a permanent role at EF.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Marketing Manager to plan and produce weekly content that fits our marketing strategy.
- Film and edit short and mid form content for social platforms and EF channels (42K on X, 180K on LinkedIn).
- Follow our TIs across Europe to capture what they are doing on the ground: hackathons, retreats, meet-ups...
- Work primarily in video, while also creating complementary assets when needed, such as photos, simple graphics, thumbnails, copy and titles.
- Support EF’s leadership and Talent Investing team in London with content creation, from idea to published video.
After the initial 3-month trial period, if converted to permanent role, opportunity to travel to San Francisco and:
- Spend time living inside our residencies (e.g. The Bridge) to document what is happening: the people, the energy, the milestones, our guests.
- Cover the backstage of Demo Days and turn them into series that show the peak of the EF experience for our founders.
