The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and reliable Events Assistant to join our growing B2B marketing agency. This role within the Events team offers a fantastic entry point into the world of B2B events for someone who is eager to learn, hands‑on, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Reporting into the Events team, you will provide essential administrative and logistical support across our events, including sourcing and managing merchandise, ordering print materials, and keeping the event cupboard stocked and organised. You will also help teams prepare for events through tasks such as packing and coordinating deliveries. There will also be opportunities to support events onsite across the UK.
This role is ideal for someone at the very start of their events career, with a proactive, can‑do attitude and a genuine interest in B2B marketing and events. You will gain hands‑on exposure working on events for high‑profile technology clients such as Adobe, Gong, AWS and Sitecore, and will be well placed to progress into an Event Executive role as your skills and experience grow.
Key Responsibilities
General Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Events team.
- Help maintain venue databases and vendor contact lists.
- Manage and maintain the event cupboard, keeping it tidy, organised, and well stocked.
- Monitor stock levels of event essentials and carry out regular stock takes.
- Assist with other ad‑hoc administrative tasks as required.
Logistics & Planning
- Assist with organising event materials for each event including branded merchandise, name badges, signage etc.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders and manage deliveries.
- Manage relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely turnaround.
- Track deliveries to ensure they arrive in good time ahead of events.
- Support with booking travel and accommodation for the Event team.
- Keep records of orders, costs, and delivery timelines.
- Help teams prepare for events, including packing boxes and event kits.
Onsite Support
- Assist with loading and unloading materials on event days where required.
- Support onsite teams with the setup and organisation of event materials.
- Support the onsite team with general and ad‑hoc duties.
- Assist with real‑time problem solving on the day.
Post Event Activity
- Coordinate and track collections and returns of materials from event venues.
- Ensure equipment and materials are returned, checked, and stored correctly after events.
- Update inventory and stock records following each event.
- Help identify areas for improvement in logistics processes.
Qualifications
- GCSEs/A-Levels or equivalent; degree optional
- 0–6 months experience in events, marketing, retail, or hospitality is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, with a knowledge of a range of different computer packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow instructions accurately.
Experience & Attributes
- Interest in B2B events and marketing.
- Hands‑on and happy to get stuck into practical, hands‑on tasks.
- Comfortable with light lifting and carrying event materials and stock.
- Team player with a collaborative, can‑do mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and to take responsibility in your work and development.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events across the UK when required.
This role is designed as a stepping stone into the Event Executive position. You will receive hands‑on training, mentorship, and exposure to all aspects of event delivery, with clear progression opportunities as your skills and experience develop.
