As a School Catering Assistant, you will provide a high standard food service working in line with our company standards. You will help maintain a hygienic environment for food preparation and service, ensuring daily cleaning and service records are kept up‑to‑date, and you will need excellent customer service skills and be on hand to serve customers and clients. You will also be required to assist with waste removal and washing up after lunch services.
Responsibilities
- Serve school lunch in a helpful and safe manner.
- Provide an excellent standard of service to all customers.
- Project a willing and helpful attitude to customers.
- Seek appropriate/necessary knowledge about allergens of all food items sold throughout catering areas.
- Keep the dining areas and storage rooms clean and fully stocked for lunch service.
- Ensure that customers are given prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Ensure lunch dishes are washed correctly in a prompt time and kitchen clean down at end of day.
We offer an excellent rate of pay at £13.84 per hour. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 10.30am to 2.30pm (20 hours per week) during term time (term time dates differ from local council schools). This position will require the candidate to be disclosure checked. Our focus on delivering a high level of customer service is achieved through our dedicated teams.
