Responsibilities

  • Processing and recording Purchase Invoices for all Business Streams and Corporate Overheads, ensuring all invoices are authorised and coded correctly.
  • Importing excel purchase ledger data to company accounting package.
  • Accurately organise rechargeable purchase invoices into the appropriate folders to support sales invoice collation.
  • Processing payments to Suppliers in accordance with supplier terms and conditions.
  • Responsible for month end closing of the Purchase Ledger, ensuring that closing balances reconcile with Nominal Ledger.
  • Prepare and post accruals and prepayments as part of the monthly management accounts process.
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Statements on an ongoing basis.
  • Reconciliation, processing and payment of expense, mileage and credit card expenses and statements.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the Purchase Ledger.
  • Resolving queries with Management and Suppliers.
  • Generate reports as requested based on information derived from Purchase ledger.
  • Assist with audit requirements by collating and providing accurate information and documentation.
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to enquiries efficiently and professionally.

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a Finance/Payroll function is advantageous.
  • Experienced in using Purchase Ledger modules in standard accounting software and knowledgeable about related processes and functions.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and problem solving ability.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring your duties are completed to a high standard.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
