Entier are currently recruiting for a day shift Chef to join our family based at our site SAGE, St Fergus, Peterhead. The hours for this position are as follows: Monday to Thursday 7am to 2.15pm and Friday 7am to 1pm. We offer an excellent rate of pay at £17.27 per hour.

As a Chef, you will provide a high standard of catering, working in line with our company standards and values. You will ensure a hygienic environment for food preparation and service, ensuring daily/monthly due diligence records are kept up to date. You will also need to manage and comply with HACCP and COSHH regulations.

Main responsibilities of the role are:

  • To prepare, with fresh ingredients, Breakfast & Lunch service.
  • Planning menus and orders for menu cycle using tasty recipes.
  • Cook and present food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy and safe manner.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and health and safety around the kitchen at all times.
  • Communicating effectively is key in this role.
  • Ensuring stock holding is correct, monthly stock take and correct deliveries are accepted.
  • Correct food storage and labelling all in order.
  • Ensure that standards relating to food and cleaning service are always maintained and correct procedures are followed.
  • To carry out additional duties and any other tasks within your competency, such as assisting the Unit Manager with any requested tasks.
