Enthusiast Gaming is looking for an Accounts Assistant (remote based) in the UK, reporting to the Finance Manager. This is a part-time role: 30 hours per week worked over 5 days (Monday-Friday). Salary will be determined based on experience; the full-time equivalent (FTE) range is £33,000-£38,000, pro-rated for 30 hours.

The Accounts Assistant will be a hands-on professional and an integral member of the Finance team with the following key responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Investigate and resolve invoice or payment queries with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure invoices are approved and scheduled for payment within agreed terms
  • Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate records
  • Process staff expense claims in accordance with company policy
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and currencies
  • Assist credit control by monitoring outstanding debts and chasing overdue payments
  • Provide support to the finance team during peak periods and with the annual audit
  • Contribute to ad hoc finance tasks and departmental projects as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSEs (or equivalent), especially Maths and English (grade 4/C or above)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience using NetSuite (Desirable)

Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (Google Sheets desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proactive problem-solving approach and willingness to support wider team activities as required
