My client combines the expertise of nutritionists, product developers, supply chain operatives, project managers, designers and artworkers, in order to deliver projects from concept to launch on behalf of their clients. Their service offers a revolutionary full-service solution in new product creation and a unique product manufacture model that is unrivalled in the industry of private label supplement manufacturing in the UK.
Working with multiple contract manufacturers and packers across the globe, they integrate with processes and ensure they are able to consistently deliver quality, price-competitive, scalable and cross-border solutions. They are in need of an experienced account director, wanting to work on a contract basis, to cover a team member's maternity leave. As they are going through rapid growth, there is a real possibility of this becoming a permanent opportunity.
As an Account Director, you will be required to support the client services team across both branding and product services to deliver a variety of brand creation, product development and manufacturing projects for their clients. You'll draw from your experience in adept client management, strategy and project management to bring out the best of those around you while managing multiple projects and clients.
Overall, they are looking for an experienced individual who loves to work as part of a small team, can 'spin many plates' and is excited by the opportunities available in the nutrition industry.
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience in a Senior Account Director, Group Account Director or equivalent senior client services leadership role
- Proven ability to lead and develop account management/client services teams
- Strong strategic and commercial mindset, with the ability to identify both risks and growth opportunities across an existing client base
- Strong commercial grip, including forecasting and margin awareness
- Confidence leading senior client relationships in person and presenting proposals credibly
- Ability to improve department standards, structure and ways of working
- Strong judgement and ability to maintain strategic oversight across multiple priorities
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments and senior stakeholders
- High standards for communication, governance, detail and follow-through
- Calm, professional approach to escalation handling and problem-solving
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware
- Experience in FMCG, food, supplements, wellness or a similarly product-led environment would be beneficial
