Commissioning Engineer Northolt / London & Southeast Sites £45,000 - £50,000 DOE + Company Van + Fuel Card + Healthcare

Are you an experienced Life Safety/Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer looking to join a well-established and growing business working on high-profile residential and commercial projects across London and the Southeast? We are a long-standing family-run business specialising in Security, Fire, Door Entry, Access Control and Data System solutions for high-rise developments, new builds and occupied residential sites. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a proactive and technically skilled engineer to join our commissioning team. This is a field-based role offering excellent long-term stability, varied projects, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to work with leading security technologies and manufacturers.

What you will be doing as a Life Safety/Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer:

  • Commission and configure Fire Alarm, Evacuation Alert and emergency voice communication and toilet alarm systems and associated solutions.
  • Perform system testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Ensure all systems are installed and commissioned in line with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Work closely with installation teams, project managers, and clients during project delivery.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support where required.
  • Deliver system training and handover documentation to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and system configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Adhoc duties as required.

Systems & Technologies

You will ideally have experience working with some of the following: Fire Alarm, Evacuation Alert, Emergency Voice Communication, Toilet Alarm systems. Integrated Life Safety Systems. Manufacturers may include: Advanced, Apollo, C-Tec, Morley.

What we are looking for to be our Commissioning Engineer:

  • Proven experience as a Commissioning Engineer within the Life Safety Industry.
  • Strong experience with leading fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently.
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience with fire alarms, life safety is essential.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Field-based across London and the Southeast with occasional visits to the Northolt office.
