Join Heathrow Business Services team and you will help us deliver our bold ambitions, whilst supporting colleagues to achieve theirs. Our team is involved in every element of People and Finance activity, including payroll, casework, referencing and onboarding, through to billing, paying suppliers, and month-end activities.
Our Business Services teams focus on three areas: Systems and Transformation, Service Delivery, and Business Intelligence. To succeed, we need to be able to make decisions quickly, evaluate the financial, non-financial and carbon impact of our choices, and ensure they are supported by accurate data and insight.
This is an exciting time, as we deliver a new Business Services vision that embraces technology, drives continuous process improvement and unlocks insights to drive our business.
Within Heathrow Business Services function, the Operations Team member is required to be a dynamic and flexible resource supporting the delivery of the end-to-end Operations Team service, with a specific focus on facilities management, equipment management and mail room services. This 12-month fixed-term contract will require the successful candidate to work on-site five days per week.
Responsibilities
- Deliver general facilities support to maintain a safe, well-functioning working environment across the centre.
- Manage daily electronic document processes, including inbound/outbound mail and archiving to digital formats.
- Support IT equipment provision through asset deployment, stock control and basic end-user troubleshooting.
- Provide high-quality administrative support for Operations projects within the centre.
- Work with internal customers to resolve service issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Escalate issues when required and assist with additional queries or initiatives as needed.
Essential Skills
- Competence working with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service, evidenced through working in a previous customer service role.
- Proven ability to take ownership and work on own initiative.
- Ability to maintain resilience when dealing with issues and complaints.
Preferred Skills
- Previous administration and/or facilities experience.
- Knowledge of applicable Health & Safety legislation.
