Entertainers is one of the UK’s leading live event promoters, delivering high-quality touring productions across hundreds of venues nationwide. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Technical / Production Manager to take full ownership of the technical and production function across our touring portfolio. This is an office-based role (5 days per week) with travel as required.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical and Operations Director, you will lead the planning, delivery and execution of all technical and production elements across our shows. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every production is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard - from initial planning through to live touring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Technical Delivery
    • Full ownership of technical delivery across all touring productions
    • Creating, developing and maintaining all technical riders
    • Ensuring consistency and quality of production across all venues
    • Overseeing show builds, get-ins, get-outs and technical setups where required
    • Managing production standards across multiple concurrent tours
  • Advancing & Venue Liaison
    • Leading the advancing process with venues alongside the Technical Manager
    • Acting as the senior point of contact for all technical venue communications
    • Ensuring all technical requirements are clearly communicated and delivered
    • Resolving technical challenges in advance of performances
  • Health & Safety
    • Full responsibility for touring health & safety compliance
    • Creating and managing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
    • Ensuring all productions meet current legislation and best practice
    • Implementing and maintaining safe working practices across all tours
  • Team Management
    • Supporting, mentoring and developing the technical team
    • Coordinating freelance crew and technical suppliers where required
    • Ensuring clear communication across production, operations and touring teams
  • Logistics & Planning
    • Overseeing technical logistics including transport, equipment and scheduling
    • Working closely with operations on tour routing and feasibility
    • Managing technical budgets and cost control across productions
    • Sourcing and managing production equipment and suppliers
  • On-the-Road Support
    • Attending shows and tours as required to oversee delivery
    • Troubleshooting live production issues when necessary
    • Maintaining strong relationships with venues, crew and partners nationwide

About You

  • Extensive experience in a senior technical or production management role within live events or touring
  • Strong knowledge of theatre and touring production environments
  • Excellent understanding of UK health & safety regulations
  • Proven experience advancing shows and working directly with venues
  • Experience managing teams and freelance crew
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously
  • Practical, solutions-driven and calm under pressure
  • Full UK driving licence
