Tesco Support Manager, Area 603 in Amersham

With your skills, knowledge, and experience in retail, you’ll play an important role in deliveringan amazing shopping experience for our customers across our Tesco concession spaces.

This is a unique role where you’ll support and work closely with your teams, helping them succeed and ensuring our concession spaces always looktheir best. You’ll need to be self-motivated, confident working on your own initiative, and proud of what you do.

Job Purpose

Working in this field-based role, you will be responsible for managing multiple Tesco concessions within a defined geographical area, while reporting directly to an Area Manager.

In a role where you needto manage your own time and priorities, you will be a confident and hands-onindividual who is comfortable travelling to and working indifferent locations. Leadinga number ofsmall teams you willrepresentThe Entertainer, ensuring that your patchof Tesco concessions deliver the highest standards, from pricing to merchandisingand planogram compliance, as well as managing and motivating the team in eachconcession location.

As a business ambassador operating in another large retailer's trading space, you will embody our company values,demonstrate strong commerciality in your thinking, and build strong relationships with the Tesco store and management team to help drive tradingperformance. In addition, you will be organised, thorough and able to prioritise yourvisitsto deliver the best outcomes for your Tesco concessionperformance. Youwill also need to be flexible in your schedule to support a seven-day trading operation, including weekends.

As well as holding a UK driving license with a minimumof12 months of driving experience, youwill also need to live within or be able torelocateto a defined geographical areaadjacent tothe designated Tesco stores under your control.

Skills & Experience

1. A great leader with at least one year’s experience in a retail store management or operational role.
2. An experienced people manager who can build and develop great teams.
3. Comfortable working alone and managing your own time and priorities.
4. Strong merchandising skills with excellent commercial judgement.
5. Ability todeliveraccuratepromotional layouts and planograms

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of your Tesco store teams so that they deliver thebest results,includingthe reviewcycle,absenceand performancemanagement.
• Oversee the recruitment, induction, and training processes of your Tesco Store teams and to encourage the personal development of individual teammembers.
• Ensure all internal communications are shared appropriately with your teamand that tasks are executed within relevant timescales.
• Control and monitor store staffing resource using our digital scheduling tool Rotageek and ensuringthat youdeliver effective rotasin accordance withthe weekly store budgetedhours.
