We are excited to announce an opportunity for an External Reporting Manager to join our Team at Enterprise Mobility, based at our European Headquarters in Egham, Surrey. This role will support and work closely in overseeing and leading the completion of statutory audits across our European groups, including being a primary contact with external auditors in those European countries. The External Reporting Manager will work with the groups to help identify forthcoming external reporting changes and advise on new statutory reporting requirements as these arise in Europe. They will also support leadership teams at our EU Corporate office and the groups through external audit support, advising on external reporting risks and opportunities resulting from new business development within our European operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee statutory audit process across the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Germany, ensuring efficient completion by all groups in line with Corporate expectations on timetables to minimize overruns and delays.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of other domestic statutory reporting, including government surveys, statements, publications, and reports that involve financial and non-financial information, e.g. ONS surveys, Payment Practice Reporting.
- Draft new disclosure requirements for inclusion in annual statutory accounts (e.g. Section 172 Statement, Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting).
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including the European Senior Management and group operations to support the external audits and to advise on external reporting risks and opportunities resulting from new business development and strategic expansion.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including industry groups, on issues impacting external reporting including new statutory reporting requirements.
- Prepare/review presentations and reports for the UK Board of Directors and other meetings.
- Research, document and apply accounting literature relating to local accounting standards across Europe and including IFRS, as may impact the company.
- Manage special projects related to external reporting and Company needs.
- Safeguard the release of sensitive financial information to both internal and external parties.
- Provide oversight of the maintenance and application of internal control.
- Ability to travel with overnight stays across Europe (10%-15%).
- Quarterly travel to our Corporate Headquarters in St Louis.

- Ability to communicate verbally and written, including cross-culturally and can present to people at a senior executive level.
- Experience analysing, proposing and implementing process and procedure improvements.
- Proven team player with ability to work independently.
