Brand new opportunity for a Senior Ruby/React Engineer! This is a role for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving real engineering problems at scale, and wants the autonomy of a mostly-remote setup.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- 4+ years’ professional engineering experience, ideally in large or complex systems.
- Deep back-end expertise, with a strong track record building and scaling Ruby on Rails applications.
- Extensive React experience, comfortable owning front-end architecture and modern component patterns.
- Strong capability with PostgreSQL (or similar RDBMS), including performance tuning and scaling strategies.
- Solid experience designing and maintaining GraphQL APIs (Apollo, schema design, best practices).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and service-to-service integrations.
- Hands-on experience with API performance optimisation and modern web system tuning.
- Familiarity with distributed systems using Kafka and Redis, including message consumption/emission.
- Confident with Git workflows, GitHub, and high-quality pull-request review practices.
- Openness to AI-assisted development, including emerging multi-agent orchestration workflows.
