Senior Software Engineer, C# .NET
If building software that carries real-world monitoring data all the way from the sensor to the screen sounds like something that you would like to be a part of, then this might be your next position.
A Senior Software Engineer vacancy has just opened at a company developing remote monitoring systems used in a number of sectors worldwide, including renewable energy. You will be working on a range of .NET applications, both standalone and web based, that securely transmit time-series data from acquisition devices to the cloud or directly to customer networks.
There are also applications for processing and analysing that data, along with the user interfaces and data visualisations that sit on top. These are deployed across a range of operating systems, often as containers running in the cloud.
You will be a core part of an agile development team, working closely with the Software Manager, test and systems engineers and data scientists, taking ownership of the software platform and mentoring other developers as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong C# experience in a .NET environment using WPF, in addition to ASP.NET Core front and back-end web development using Razor, Blazor or similar. Experience of implementing REST API client and server interfaces is a must, along with a basic understanding of TCP/IP networking and some familiarity with Docker.
This is a full time, permanent position based at their site in Wokingham.
