You’ll be joining an established UK manufacturer, known for producing cutting-edge, niche technology, with full in-house design, development and manufacturing capability. With strong demand and continued growth, the business is investing in its production function and growing across multiple areas, recently expanding their facility.

Role Overview: Joining a busy production department, you will electro-mechanically assemble and test their varied portfolio of products, which can range from cable assembly, through to full system test and build. This is a technical role which will require fault-finding down to component level, use of electronics testing equipment (oscilloscopes and signal generators) as well as efficient documentation and recording of production processes.

What are we looking for?

  • Assembly and test experience within a technical engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Electronics understanding is key: SMT soldering (0201), troubleshooting, fault-finding, wiring, cable harness, analogue and digital video processing
  • Optics and PCB experience would be highly preferable
  • Use of testing equipment: Oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators

Qualifications: engineering degree/HND/HNC

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £30k-£35k
