This role sits at the heart of bringing complex, high‑tech products into scalable manufacture. You’ll be working hands‑on with electronics used across a wide range of real‑world systems, including power supplies, imaging and acquisition hardware, and production test equipment, with a strong focus on ensuring designs are robust, manufacturable, and testable.
The work is broad and practical, covering PCB design and review, DFM/DFA/DFT, test and calibration strategies, and hands‑on support during builds and fault‑finding. You’ll work closely with software and mechanical engineers, contributing across the full NPI lifecycle rather than owning a narrow slice of electronics.
If you are an Electronics Engineer who enjoys having your fingers in lots of pies and working on end‑to‑end systems - from schematic through to manufacture and test - this role offers real technical depth and variety.
Required experience:- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in electronic engineering
- Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium
- DFM, DFA and DFT principles
- Hands‑on experience with PCB bring‑up, fault‑finding and rework
- Comfortable working with test equipment (scopes, meters, power supplies)
- Experience supporting products through NPI and into manufacture
- Microcontrollers, analogue circuits, power electronics
- Automated test equipment or production test environments
- Exposure to regulated or quality‑driven environments (ISO, defence, etc.)
Salary: £45–60k plus benefits
