This key role will shape manufacturing planning and Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities within a growing space technology organisation developing advanced satellite electronics and communications systems. Based in either the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Didcot (Harwell Campus) or its Stevenage site, you will play a central role in coordinating manufacturing and AIT activities, supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering programmes from manufacturing through to qualification and deployment.
As a Space Manufacturing / Planning Engineer, you will coordinate manufacturing schedules, manage workflow priorities, and ensure materials, resources and engineering activities align with programme delivery milestones. Working closely with design, procurement, quality, test and logistics teams, you will help identify and resolve manufacturing bottlenecks, support configuration management activities, and maintain accurate production data across multiple programmes.
The position requires someone who can balance technical understanding with strong planning and organisational skills, ensuring manufacturing and AIT activities are delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will also play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and test operations, helping to improve throughput, reduce rework.
