Head of Projects in Slough

Take ownership of projects for a world leading manufacturer of specialist imaging and vison systems. A growing business who are part of a wider technology group on the stock exchange; this is a rare opportunity at a project level to be given the freedom to implement your own processes, governances and frameworks.

You’ll take ownership of project delivery and will be expected to scope and shape how project management works at the business, introducing governance, processes and disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Establish PMO framework, governance and standards
• Take ownership of project planning and delivery from concept to delivery
• Lead/support project managers and cross-functional teams
• Manage budget, forecasting, resources and financial performance

We’re looking for an established project leader who can bring structure and pragmatism to the team, operating not only at a senior level, but able to understand the hands-on technical associated within projects. Technical experience includes:

• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects/programmes
• Industry: engineering, technology, electronics
• Project Management tools: Agile, waterfall methods, use of MS project, Jira, 365

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central or Dynamics 365 Project Operations
• PRINCE2 or an equivalent project/programme management qualification
• A degree in Engineering, Science or another relevant discipline
