Working hours: 8:30-4:30, On-call every 4-6 weeks. Overtime available. North/North-East England and some wider UK travel: Company van included.
We’re on the lookout for experienced service engineers with UPS and power electronics knowledge, and a desire to work in a role with variety and autonomy, to join one of the world’s largest providers of power supplies. With a major global presence and increasing headcount, this business has won awards for innovation and design, and their products are widely regarded as the most efficient and effective in their industry.
The Role: The team are expanding their UK coverage, particularly in the North, and need someone who can take ownership of service, maintenance, and commissioning work across customer sites. Most work will be north of Leeds, but the job will include national travel and occasional international trips. You’ll complete service reports, support customers on-site, and take part in the technical support rota.
What we’re looking for:
- Required:
- Strong UPS background (essential)
- Power electronics or critical power experience
- 3–5 years’ Field Service Engineering experience
- Electrical/electronic qualification (ONC or similar)
- Comfortable with regular travel and live working procedures
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable:
- DC Power or AC UPS technical knowledge
- Experience supporting batteries
- Strong organisational and troubleshooting skills
