This key role will give you the opportunity to influence and help transform the next generation of technology within a cutting-edge engineering environment, working across both New Product Introduction (NPI) and existing product development projects. Based in a state-of-the-art facility, you will join a global leader in advanced technology, working alongside experienced engineers on a mixture of new product introduction (NPI) and existing product modification projects. This is a position suited to a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys taking ideas from initial concept through to production-ready solutions.

You will take ownership of projects throughout the complete design cycle, supporting everything from theoretical design, development, and testing through to manufacturing release. Working closely with production teams, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering departments, you will ensure products are reliable, manufacturable, and delivered to demanding quality standards. As a senior member of the team, you will support and mentor junior engineers, contribute to peer reviews, and help drive continuous technical improvements across the department.

The role will involve advanced CAD modelling, detailed manufacturing drawings, materials selection, DFMA activities, and problem-solving across complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in product development and a strong track record of successfully released products. Experience within precision engineering environments and confidence working with both 3D and 2D CAD software will be essential. Applicants should also possess a Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience, together with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engineering challenges.

This role is hybrid, working three days in the office and the remainder from home, with clear opportunities for progression into future technical leadership positions within a cutting-edge and forward-thinking industry.
