Step into a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will take ownership of an entire production line and play a crucial role in ensuring products are delivered on time. This is a highly visible position within the factory, where you will be the key person keeping operations running smoothly, solving problems on the shop floor and driving improvements in a busy, high-pressure area of production.
Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Working within a state-of-the-art facility, you will support the manufacture of advanced technology products from concept through to delivery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in production while also driving improvements to processes and documentation.
You will split your time between the production environment and supporting activities outside of the cleanroom, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure processes run smoothly, equipment issues are resolved efficiently, and production targets are met. The role will involve repairing and supporting manufacturing equipment, updating and improving technical documentation, and helping implement lean manufacturing practices that improve efficiency and product quality.
You will also play an important role in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures, process flows and manufacturing documentation, while collaborating with teams across engineering and production to ensure products are introduced and manufactured effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering, with knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving. You should be comfortable analysing manufacturing data, improving production processes, and working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Strong communication skills and the ability to take ownership of a production area will be key to success in this role.
