This is a senior opportunity for a hardware design engineer with deep space or high-reliability electronics experience who is ready to take on technical leadership and progress into a Hardware Manager role within the next 2-3 years.

As part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, this role will focus on developing FPGA/ASIC-based satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits, while managing complex hardware development activities.

The successful hardware design engineer will take ownership of the hardware product development lifecycle, including specification, design, testing, detailed circuit design, schematic capture, component selection and electronic simulation.

Essential skills:

  • 10+ years’ hardware design experience (including Space/Aerospace or similar)
  • Leadership skills
  • High speed digital design

Desirable skills:

  • RF design and validation
  • Radiation effects and mitigation
  • DC/DC power supply design
  • Environmental, thermal, safety and EMI/EMC standards

Salary: £85-100k. Perhaps more for the right person.
