Embedded Software Engineer – 4 day week Keeping people alive day after day, this medical device company are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join the team. You would be working on safety critical software, where the code quality is of upmost importance. As a Software Engineer, you will be developing predominantly low level embedded software using FreeRTOS, as well as some higher level applications in C++. Projects could include anything from adding remote connectivity, OTA updates, algorithm development and more. If you are feeling fed up of not making a difference in your current role or you really want your code to help others, this could be the role for you. Working as part of a team of 6 engineers, the work you do will form the backbone of projects to come for many years. With the founders still part of the business and their products being sold in over 50 countries, the company has continued to grow and continues to invest in new technologies to further disrupt the market. The ideal candidate will have circa 5 years’ experience (less also considered) developing in embedded environments ideally with RTOS experience. Ideally you will have some C++ experience but candidates keen to learn C++ would also be considered. Engineers can expect 1 / 2 days per week home working & the choice of a 5 day or compressed 4 day week.
