We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced community manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of Enterprise Nation – acting as the bridge between our members and the resources, events and support services we provide. You’ll help build and nurture a thriving community, drive engagement and make sure members feel connected, supported and empowered. You’ll be passionate about supporting small businesses, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in customer-focused roles.
Main responsibilities
- Community engagement and experience: Act as the first point of contact for members, welcome new joiners and help them navigate their way around our support platform. Own the end-to-end member journey: onboarding, engagement, retention and satisfaction. Deliver daily/weekly engagement to the community across different channels within the community. Surface and amplify community activity across all platforms. Manage and grow WhatsApp communities (broadcasts, segmentation, reminders). Support the marketing team with optimising sign-up flows and member CTAs.
- Community spaces and micro communities: Launch and manage 20 to 30 micro communities: recruit, brief and support community hosts. Run micro community WhatsApp groups; facilitate monthly meet-ups and discussions. Deliver weekly micro community round-ups and support initiatives. Maintain BetterMode (the platform on which we host our groups). Manage adviser and peer-to-peer matching processes. Support with setting up and managing local community pods.
- Events and programming: Co-ordinate and support online and in-person events. Own monthly national events, regular adviser 'Ask me anything' events and community meet-ups.
- Content and communications: Work with marketing/content teams on community-focused communications. Co-ordinate WhatsApp communications to our communities, including weekly micro community round-ups, daily community prompts and ongoing partner CTAs.
- Tools, systems and data: Maintain clean CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) records and accurate segmentation across WhatsApp, ESP, BetterMode and CRM. Track monthly and weekly engagement trends and use analytics to guide community strategy.
About you
Essential:
- Experience with building, managing or moderating online or offline communities.
- Highly motivated, with a track record of delivering on KPIs.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Responsive and efficient, with excellent task- and time-management skills.
- Strong team player, with excellent collaboration skills.
- Empathy, strong people skills and a passion for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Comfortable working flexibly, taking initiative and solving problems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to engage a variety of audiences.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
Desirable:
- Experience with managing social media accounts and communities.
- Experience with organising events (online and offline).
- Familiarity with Freshdesk or similar ticketing systems.
- Experience with Power BI or analytics tools.
- Experience with community operations, segmentation or data-driven engagement.
- Understanding of the UK small business/start-up landscape.
