We are pleased to announce the opportunity for a Payroll Supervisor within the Payroll department to join the team at our European Head Office based in Egham, Surrey. The successful candidate will be joining a team that processes the Payroll for approx. 7,300 employees across 13 payrolls on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervising your payroll team from start to finish
- Supervising your team’s tasks, whilst balancing your own workload
- Ensuring the payroll accounting ledgers are reconciled
- Involvement in on-boarding new payrolls in support of future acquisitions
- Ensuring adhoc payroll queries from employees and HMRC are handled timely
- Supervising the payroll and accounting related administrative tasks
- Checking payroll entries for posting to the general ledger
- Analysis of monthly payroll information
- Verification of monthly payroll accounting schedules and reconciliations
- Assisting the Payroll Manager in Ad-Hoc Payroll projects
- Performing employee appraisals and motivating the team
- Analysis of new HMRC legislation and the implications for Enterprise
- Reviewing work from the team to ensure high levels of accuracy
- Knowledge of RTI and Auto-Enrolment legislative changes
Qualifications
- CIPP qualified or qualified through relevant payroll experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level
- Unwavering attention to detail, with a firm commitment to accuracy and consistency
- Strong supervisory skills to support the payroll team
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to assist in developing a training plan for Payroll to help progress and develop the team
- Demonstrated ability to work with numbers, not necessarily from an accounting background
