The mission of our Back End Software Engineer is to implement the features which support our platform to provide our users a better experience. You will be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle, collaborating with the team to achieve goals efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement features and UX improvements in collaboration with the team.
  • Solve technical challenges across the product.
  • Design and implement new features and functionality across the application using open source and industry-standard technologies.
  • Understand and support our infrastructure and operations, using Docker and Kubernetes as part of AWS.
What We Value
  • Write clean, maintainable code across frameworks and learnings.
  • Understand protocols such as IP, HTTP, TCP, FTP, UDP, WebSockets, RMI, RPC.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, REST, XML understanding of how web technologies work.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes; AWS is a plus.
  • Ability to manage servers and databases; understanding of SQL and SQL databases.
  • Educational background in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience with Git and Version Control Systems.
Non-Technical
  • Ability to diagnose and solve problems in mixed technical/non-technical teams.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with iterative objectives and user collaboration.
  • Ability and willingness to learn continuously, work independently, and make autonomous decisions.
