The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of building assets. This position is responsible for basic maintenance and organization to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good condition at all times for customers and employees. This individual will perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment and grounds throughout London and the Home Counties across Southeast England. This role will utilize multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, manual tasks and other skills as needed to solve maintenance problems.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and reactive repairs across facilities, including light electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, cleaning, and snow/ice clearance.
- Complete work orders promptly, responding to call-outs and planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose issues first time, sourcing required materials and escalating where specialist input is needed.
- Perform minor plumbing (unblocking, leak repairs, fixture replacement) and basic electrical works (fixtures, switches, outlets, lamps, ballasts) in line with permissions.
- Undertake painting and carpentry repairs to maintain buildings in a high-quality, “like-new” condition aligned to brand standards.
- Install small appliances and equipment and support sites with time and materials estimates.
- Safely move furniture and equipment and deliver office/building supplies as required.
- Follow all Safe Systems of Work, PPE, uniform, and attendance standards; adjust schedules to support emergency and out-of-hours call-outs.
- Complete additional reasonable duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and other trades.

Qualifications:

- UK Drivers Licence is required as this is a mobile position.
