Job Description Summary

Assist the Director of FP&A with daily transactions, processes and compliance for Enterprise Community Development. Responsibilities include financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting. The position will play a significant role in quarter end and year end closing results analysis. This position will be responsible for leading the analyses for the Development, Property Management, Resident Services and Asset Management functions. Additionally, the position will play a lead role in the budgeting/forecasting process. Position will also be responsible for the preparation of quarterly financial and management reports including tracking key metrics. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, effective part of the finance team. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, analytical, computer skills, and the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external financial statements, budgets, forecasts, project related/required reports; preparing work product as required.
  • Work closely with cost center managers to determine levels of staffing and operating expenses for budgets and forecasts.
  • Work with division managers to model revenue for development fees, asset management fees, resident service fees and property management fees.
  • Work with Corporate staff to model interest income and interest expenses.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly financial and management reports, including supporting the preparation of Board materials.
  • Analyze, research, reconcile and resolve variances between budgeted/forecasted and actual results.
  • Take a lead role in analyzing and reporting on actuals versus budget and forecast. This includes preparing preliminary analysis, helping coordinate, draft reports and other tasks associated with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and internal and external financial reporting processes.
  • Lead the preparation of the ECD cost allocations.
  • Provide support and backup for allocated expenses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent required.
  • CPA or CFA designation or working towards designation strongly preferred.
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting or finance experience in a corporate accounting environment.
  • Experience being the lead for preparing budgets and forecasts and performing financial analysis.
  • Proficient with Excel and Word and ability to quickly learn new software and systems required.
  • Experience working in accounting systems preferred, experience with Workday, Adaptive and Yardi a plus.
  • Knowledge of real estate terminology and concepts preferred, basic knowledge of financial services industry and tax credit also desirable.
  • Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all.
  • Builds positive relationship with business partners, recognizing they are on the same team; is recognized as a trusted advisor and partner by the business team.
  • Incumbent is expected to demonstrate strong ethics and professionalism in interpersonal relations and work as an effective team member.
  • Strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills, and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Ability to work under stress/pressure. This position requires some overtime as needed.

Salary Transparency

You will be joining a team of talented professionals motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing. Total Rewards at Enterprise The pay range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of what may be paid for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range, and compensation decisions may be influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This range is just one component of the total rewards package, which also includes annual performance bonuses and generous paid leave programs. Our benefits form a major part of the total rewards package. These include dental, health, and vision care plans, as well as family-building benefits such as adoption and surrogacy support.
