About the day-to-day
You will gain significant experience across all areas of communications and public affairs. Because we are a small team, you will get stuck in from day one and learn directly from senior team members and advisors.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Content creation: Drafting content for our website and social media accounts and supporting the team with press releases and op-eds. Playing an important role in visual storytelling, both by creating graphics and video content using toolsets like Canva and by identifying and briefing designers and videographers.
- Community building: Continuing to grow our community of entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors across the country, and ensuring that they stay engaged and motivated to act.
- Monitoring and spotting opportunities: Keeping track of what's driving the news agenda and what's happening in Westminster and Whitehall. Flagging opportunities for Enterprise Britain to engage and advance our objectives.
- Research: Digging into the details of the issues we are working on. Compiling insights from existing research, identifying experts we can engage, and contributing to original reports and white papers. Preparing briefs for our senior team members to ensure they are ready for interviews, meetings, and events.
- Project management: Ensuring that all our workstreams stay on track. Tracking progress against our KPIs, managing our Asana boards, overseeing our communications calendar, and ensuring that our freelancers and agency partners know what needs to be done when.
You will also provide light-touch administrative support to help keep the organisation running smoothly. This is expected to be less than 10% of your time, and you are encouraged to leverage technology to reduce the administrative burden (e.g., through AI-powered note-taking and automation of repetitive tasks).

- Location: Hybrid role with 3 days per week in a Central London office.
