Job Title: Engineering Trainer and Assessor

Hours of Work: 36 hours per week

Location: Redditch

Salary £40-43k

We are looking for a time-served engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience who is passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills to the next generation of engineering apprentices. Key Responsibilities:

Education, Training & Assessment:

– Develop and produce tailored training plans for apprentices.

– Deliver high-quality, engaging training sessions in line with industry standards.

– Assess learners' progress and performance, ensuring all learner documentation is accurately completed and submitted.

Apprentice Management:

– Monitor learner progress, ensuring apprentices meet their agreed targets.

– Maintain learner tracking systems and ensure timely completion of reports.

– Manage learner discipline, addressing issues and ensuring proper documentation.

– Report on learner attendance, timekeeping, and absence.

– Handle learner concerns, directing them to support staff as needed.

– Ensure open and effective communication across the team for learner support.

Training Facility Maintenance:

– Oversee the management of equipment, tooling, and materials required for training.

– Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure facilities are in good working order.

Requirements:

– Time-served engineer, ideally with strong mechanical maintenance experience.

– Passion for education, training, and developing others.

– Ability to effectively communicate and engage with apprentices.

– Strong organisational skills to manage training plans and learner progress.
