This is a senior intelligence position with broad scope and strategic significance, particularly suited to a professional with expertise in European and Eurasian security affairs, and practical intelligence experience. The role bridges operational, strategic, and executive-level functions, demanding both in-depth subject matter knowledge and outstanding communication skills, especially in high-level briefing contexts. The role demands strong knowledge and insight into: FSU (Former Soviet Union) geopolitics, with a particular emphasis on the Caucasus. Political, historical, cultural, and security dynamics of Europe and Eurasia. Current and emerging protest movements in Western Europe. The broader strategic and security environment impacting business operations. Main Responsibilities Strategic Intelligence & Threat Assessment Lead the companyβs baseline threat assessment process for Europe and Eurasia. Produce written and oral intelligence assessments that are concise and tailored for senior executive consumption. Continuously monitor and anticipate changes in the strategic threat landscape and communicate these effectively. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain high-trust relationships with: Internal business units and senior executives, to integrate intelligence into decision-making. External stakeholders, such as governments, academics, and NGOs, to enhance source networks and contextual understanding. Ensure intelligence is aligned with commercial planning and strategic decision points. Key Challenges Strategic Communication & Impact Making sense of ambiguous and fast-evolving scenarios, then communicating them in a way that resonates with senior decision-makers. Striking a balance between business imperatives and risk awareness, providing actionable insight without overstating threats. Analytic Rigour & Focus Filtering out noise and ensuring analytic clarity in a world awash with information. Using advanced analytic tools or frameworks to enhance decision-making utility. Organizational Navigation Navigating internal politics to ensure intelligence outputs are well-received and acted upon. Adapting to diverse regional and cultural sensitivities within the company. Ideal Background & Skills Prior intelligence experience (government, military, private sector) with a strong understanding of the intelligence cycle. Demonstrated ability to brief at the executive level, both in writing and verbally. Deep substantive knowledge of: Caucasus and broader Eurasia European security policy Civil society and protest movements in Europe Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form networks and maintain influence across functional and national boundaries. European language skills are an advantage.
