We are recruiting on behalf of a high-profile retail environment for a SOC Duty Manager to lead and enhance in-store security operations. There are two roles available, one to cover the day shift and the other to cover nights. This role offers the opportunity to shape a positive security culture, drive strategic improvements, and play a central role in protecting people, property, and profit.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead a 24/7/365 third-party manned guarding team, ensuring round-the-clock security presence.
  • Act as the duty Security Manager, handling incidents, managing responses, and briefing senior stakeholders when needed.
  • Take ownership of incident management and escalation, working closely with Health & Safety and leadership teams.
  • Deliver security awareness training, run gap analyses, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Build effective working relationships with police, national crime agencies, and local authorities.
  • Support investigations, prepare evidence, and contribute to successful prosecutions.
  • Contribute to threat assessments, risk profiling, and the implementation of advanced security technologies.
  • Collaborate across departments including Property, IT, and Health & Safety to ensure safe and secure project delivery.

Key Attributes We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in security, loss prevention, or policing — with team management exposure.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills — able to embed security culture across teams.
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and practical in response to crises.
  • Solid grasp of legislation (e.g. Theft Act, PACE, GDPR) and physical security best practice.
