Entelechy is looking for a knowledge transfer advisor to go onto our Application for funding as part of the Knowledge Transfer grant. Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP): 2025 – 2026 Round 2. Entelechy is a human behaviour/traits and character development platform that is looking to add additional rigor and research to its platform and address some key areas that are required for research.

The area/application/need is as follows: This Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) application seeks to establish a transformative collaboration between Entelechy Academy and a leading UK academic institution. The project’s central aim is to revolutionise our educational product by integrating advanced, evidence-based research into two critical areas: workplace psychology and trends in the new work-ready generation (encompassing Generation Z and emerging cohorts). These areas are pivotal to understanding how individuals thrive in modern work environments and how educational platforms can best prepare students for future career success.

Workplace psychology explores the behavioural, emotional, and cognitive factors that influence performance, collaboration, and well-being in professional settings—key considerations for designing impactful learning experiences. Meanwhile, trends in the new work-ready generation highlight the evolving skills, values, and expectations of younger learners entering the workforce, such as their reliance on digital tools, preference for flexibility, and demand for purpose-driven education. By embedding insights from these fields into our platform, we aim to iterate and significantly enhance our product, ensuring it remains relevant, engaging, and competitive in a crowded market.

The KTP offers a unique solution by combining academic expertise, graduate talent, and Innovate UK funding to deliver a structured, impactful project. This partnership will enable us to:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research that informs our product development.
  • Access technical and psychological expertise beyond our current scope.
  • Embed sustainable skills and processes within our organisation.
  • Accelerate our innovation timeline, ensuring we remain ahead of market trends.

The research individual/body will seek to explore the following areas over a 2 year period:

  • Conduct Comprehensive and Multidisciplinary Research
  • Workplace Psychology Research: Investigate key psychological factors influencing workplace success, including motivation (e.g., intrinsic vs. extrinsic drivers), emotional intelligence (e.g., self-regulation, empathy), leadership styles (e.g., transformational vs. transactional), and organisational culture (e.g., collaboration vs. competition). Explore how these factors can be taught or reinforced through online education, such as via scenario-based learning or reflective exercises.
  • New Work-Ready Generation Trends: Analyse the skills profile of Generation Z and beyond, including technical competencies (e.g., coding, data analysis) and soft skills (e.g., adaptability, critical thinking). Examine their educational preferences, such as demand for short-form content (micro-credentials), gamified learning, or peer-to-peer collaboration. Assess their workplace expectations, including remote work readiness, diversity and inclusion priorities, and career mobility aspirations.
  • Develop Evidence-Based Curriculum Enhancements
    • New Course Development: Help to design at least five new modules (e.g., “Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace,” “Adapting to Remote Work,” “Creative Problem-Solving for Teams”) that integrate research findings. Ensure each course includes measurable learning outcomes aligned with employer needs, such as improved teamwork or stress management skills.
    • Personalised Learning Pathways: Create adaptive curricula that adjust content based on student performance, preferences, and career goals, using insights from motivational psychology (e.g., self-determination theory). Implement at least three distinct pathways (e.g., leadership focus, technical skills focus, soft skills focus) by Month 18.
  • Implement Cutting-Edge Technological Innovations
    • AI-Driven Adaptive Learning System: Develop a machine learning algorithm that analyses student data (e.g., quiz scores, engagement metrics) to personalise content delivery in real-time. Ensure the system supports at least 80% of Entelechy Academy’s course catalogue by project end.
    • Soft Skills Assessment Tools: Create digital tools (e.g., virtual simulations, AI-scored reflective tasks) to evaluate soft skills like resilience, collaboration, and communication, with feedback loops for student improvement. Validate these tools with at least 100 students during the pilot phase (Months 13–18).
  • Embed Research and Innovation Capabilities Within Entelechy Academy
    • Staff Training: Upskill at least 10 Entelechy Academy staff members in research methodologies (e.g., survey design, qualitative analysis) and data analytics (e.g., SPSS, Python). Conduct six training workshops over the project duration, led by the academic partner and graduate associate.
    • Continuous Improvement Framework: Establish a formal process for ongoing research, including quarterly trend reviews and annual curriculum updates, to be operational by Month 24. Develop a research toolkit (e.g., templates, software licenses) for internal use post-project.
