Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including Local Authorities, Traffic Management Community Bodies etc.
  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders, civils ancillary team, design team, wayleave team etc to align all activities.
  • Ensure Openreach Engineering Principles and permit conditions are adhered to at all times.
  • Ensure and monitor effective site operations and coordination of works compliant with NRSWA Act 1991 and Safety at Street Works and Road Works (A Code of Practice), IAW HAUC, and HSEQ standards.
  • Carry out inspections/auditing field operatives in safety procedures, specification and legislative compliance and performance.
  • Lead an effective team, ensuring that resource is fully utilised, and any contact demand is effectively covered.
  • Monitor individual employee & contractor performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively isolate and identify areas of improvement – driving resolve.
  • Report daily site progress, defects and site issues using our workflow management tools and processes.
  • Sign-off on completed works ensuring works are carried out to purple book standard.
  • Feedback accurate site measurements of completed works.
  • Ensure that sites align to the programme agreed with the client and Entegro.

Skills required

What You Will Need:

  • 3+ years in a similar position.
  • Must have previous experience of Telecom Civils works on the Openreach network.
  • Expert experience in telecoms civils, with strict adherence to Local Authority permit NRSWA, reinstatement, and standard.
  • Previous experience of supervision both internal teams and sub-contractors.
  • NRSWA Supervisor accreditations.
  • SMSTS or SSSTE accredited.
  • Flexible and adaptable to work challenges and open to learn and develop skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to a high standard consistently.
  • A high standard of written and spoken English.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Full driver's licence.
  • Experience working with tablets/phones – using ArcGIS is beneficial.

Educational Requirements

Advantageous: Degree in Civil Engineering.
