Salary: £39,000 We're recruiting for a Sheet Metal Workshop Technician to join a well-established aerospace organisation.
This is a workshop-based role working on the manufacture, repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components, supporting both commercial and defence programmes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sheet metal technician looking to develop their career within a highly regulated aerospace environment.
The Role Manufacture, assemble and repair aircraft structural components in accordance with engineering drawings and approved procedures.
Carry out sheet metal work including riveting, drilling, countersinking, bending, forming and fitting.
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and maintenance documentation.
Complete work to the highest quality standards while ensuring compliance with aerospace regulations and company procedures.
Use calibrated tools and equipment and maintain excellent housekeeping within the workshop.
Work closely with engineers and other workshop personnel to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
About You Previous experience in aircraft sheet metal or structural work.
Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Experience with solid and blind riveting and general sheet metal fabrication techniques.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Experience within the aerospace, aviation or defence sector is desirable.
